Meet Our Pastors

Pastor Paul A. Tullberg

Pastor Paul A. Tullberg has served churches in Wisconsin and Illinois since 1981. Pastor Tullberg graduated from Northwestern Lutheran College in 1977. He was blessed to earn a Master of Divinity Degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1981. From there the Lord Jesus called him to serve congregations in Columbus, WI and Belvidere, IL. He has been blessed to be Good Shepherd’s pastor since 1991. In addition to pastoring, Pastor Tullberg has had the joy of serving on our international church body’s Youth Commission, composed several hymns,  authored prayers, and a portion of a religion curriculum.  God has blessed Pastor Tullberg and his wife, Donna, with two daughters; Katie and Sarah; and four grandchildren.

Pastor John Melke

Pastor John Melke was encouraged by his pastor to pursue the pastoral ministry and therefore he attended Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI graduating in 1983. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 from Northwestern College, Watertown, WI.  He married his wife, Karla on November 2, 1991 and they have been blessed with 3 sons, Samuel, Benjamin and Josiah.  He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1992 and received the divine call assignment to serve Zion Lutheran Church, Van Dyne, WI.  In 1998 he accepted a call to serve as pastor at St. John, Renville, MN.  In 2001, he accepted the associate pastor position at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford.  On April 1, 2019 he began his new pastoral call at Good Shepherd focusing on outreach.  Some of his interests include model trains, gardening, fishing, camping, reading, and rooting for Michigan sports teams.
