We are a group of imperfect people. That is we are sinners. We believe God exists. There is nothing we can do to earn God’s love. We deserve punishment instead of His love, but He loves us anyway. Jesus, who is God, received the punishment for our sins when He died on the cross. He came back to life to prove our sentence of punishment was fully paid. We don’t believe this because we are smarter than others or because we are naive. We believe this because God the Holy Spirit is working inside us. One way the Holy Spirit works is through God’s Word, which is found in the inerrant Bible. When we say inerrant, we mean no mistakes, no lies or misleading statements, and nothing missing. It is perfect. We want others to know God’s Word.
Therefore, at Good Shepherd, our mission is simple and bold: we seek to grow in faith and knowledge of our Savior Jesus. We want to make Him known to others so that they too may share the joys that Jesus won for them.
