IN PRACTICE, HOW DO WE PRAY, ‘YOUR KINGDOM COME’

This second petition is packed and practical. Let us pray and ponder as we are swept up into our Father’s magnificent vision of our family, town, nation, world. God wants all to be with Himself in heaven!
This unlimited love of God beats in the heart of ‘Your Kingdom come.’ Here is mission and outreach. How then do we pray for missionaries of the gospel? What is the content of our prayers

– Pray for their daily needs and safety in every matter. But don’t stop there.
– Pray the Holy Spirit of God to work through His Word and bring the Savior’s mercy and forgiveness to others.
– Pray God’s kingdom may come to still more people as missioners train, teach
and encourage local Christians with God’s Word.
– Pray God’s Kingdom to come in our own nation. We live in a land where many have turned away from God. Pray for people to turn again to him.
– Pray our Father to spur His Church to love and good deeds.
– Pray our Father to fill our cities with godly teaching, faithful to His Words.
– Pray our Father to create a spiritual thirst and hunger for His Word in our nation.
– Pray our Father to bend the hearts of men and women to His Word, His plans. Here is a grand purpose of fellowship, Sunday schools and Christian gatherings. It is not just for friendship or entertainment but for the Kingdom of God to come.
– Pray our Father to raise up godly leaders in every area of our national life.
– Pray our Father to intervene in our own lives. His Word directs and keeps us.
– Pray our Father to keep your heart teachable, always asking:
– Pray ‘Your kingdom come.’ In three words lies the whole purpose of life!

“Father, we thank You, again, for Your mercy towards us In Jesus our Savior. Lord God, let us not be deceived nor deceive others. Father, we want to please You, by Your grace, in each and every part of our life. What do You have for me to do in Your Kingdom? What part do You have planned for me to take part in today? What gifts, what windows of opportunity, have You given to me to help build, support or magnify Your kingdom locally, nationally, and internationally? Speed the day Your Kingdom comes for the glory of Your great and holy name.”
