Be Fishers of MenJudges 6:1-24, 33-40    God called Gideon to deliver Israel from Midian. Gideon thought he was not strong enough or important enough. God gave Gideon miraculous signs and promised that he would be with him and help him. God also calls us to share his Word and gives us strength and encouragement to carry out his will.    Matthew 4:18-20

Walk With Jesus

Luke 24:13-32; Luke 4:16-21; Isaiah 61:1,2     In class today the Sunday School children took a walk with the two disciples who were on their way to Emmaus. Jesus joined these disciples and explained to them what all the Scriptures said concerning him. He renewed their hope in the Savior. From all that is written in God’s Word we, too, can walk confidently with Jesus!   John 10:35

Joshua 10:1-15, 21:43-45     Confusion…plus hailstones…and then the sun stood still…God gave Israel a miraculous victory over the Amorites. After many more victories that God gave Israel, he blessed them with “rest on every side” and let them enjoy peace and prosperity in the land. How wonderful God is for all the big and small blessings we enjoy in our country.     James 1:17
